Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Being responsible for purchase of BOM (direct production material: Painting, Powder Coating, Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment, Degrease)
• Pushing for consignment stock application
• Striving for the best and most competitive solution for the business taking into account all the technical, quality, delivery and financials drivers
• Working with suppliers to improve the payment terms
• Pushing to close the long-term contracts
• Looking for supplier consolidation and footprint optimization
• Pushing innovative suppliers, establishing cooperation with the Production, Engineering and Sales Department
• Analyzing suppliers as regards the defined criteria (quality and capacity level)
• Floating RFQ and analysis
• Creating purchase contracts in the ERP with negotiated terms and conditions in line with the company´s procedures
• Discussing defective or unacceptable goods or services with the Quality team, users, vendors and others to determine the root cause of problem and to take corrective and preventive action
• Ensuring suppliers´ compliance with site and company requirements for life of product and safety and environment
• Preparing BOM purchasing reports and gap analysis
• Consolidating number of suppliers
• Finding potential opportunities for non-BOM purchase
• Increasing payment conditions of the suppliers
• Participating at regular weekly meetings (meeting with the regional plant, PGC meeting, APQP meeting, Purchasing meeting and Commodity Lead meeting)
• Developing people in line the value-up performance

• 3 - 5 years´ experience in procurement, experience with procurement of BOM (direct production material) is preferred
• Strong knowledge of purchasing structures and procedures
• Good understanding of organization and processes in a production company
• Experience with suppliers´ development and offers management
• Familiar with tools for strategic analysis and value chain diagnostics
• Solid overview of the relevant legislation
• Understanding of the market situation and its dynamics
• Fluent English and German
• Capacity to develop long-term visions, as well as to manage short-term decision-making process
• Strong analytical skills
• Able to manage risks
• Strong in building and managing relationships
• Strong leadership skills
• Coaching and people development skills
• Flexible to travel
