Job description, responsibilities and duties

As a quality responsible, you will be part of our operations team. You work closely together with the group QESH manager for the set-up of all quality rules of conduct. You have different stakeholders to work with; production partners, engineering and logistics.
You will be responsible for the whole quality process, from raw materials goods receipt, to the outgoing finished products and their delivery performance.

  • You will roll out the existing quality policy for the entire factory and ensure it is adopted by all its employees
  • You do sample controls and control quality details of finished products. If errors or inconsistencies are detected, you solve them by supporting all stakeholders.
  • You perform internal quality audits
  • You train and involve the whole plant in creating awareness and visualising quality need in the organisation and writing clear working instructions
  • You set up a quality report along the lines of the group policy
  • You are the process owner of incoming (intercompany) complaints and determine necessary actions within the company policy and with close contact of our group QESH manager based in Belgium
  • You participate during external audits carried out by our customers
  • You log and report complaints in a coherent way, both to Headquarters as to the production and warehouse floor.
  • For new product launches, you work closely with engineering in to smoothly ensure the release process.

  • You have a technical insight in product attributes
  • You know how to find the balance between building strong long term relationships with colleagues and executing strong quality control when needed.
  • The quality manager is someone that is extremely smart and can think high level, but also not afraid to coach the people him/herself on the production floor. So no ‘desk manager’, but a people manager, improving the organisation from the bottom up.
  • You are a mature and passionate persuader that likes challenges within a growing company
