Currently, we are looking for the Policy Officer/Manager for the Košice AmCham Office, who will cover initiatives and activities on the regional level.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS ARE:

Policy related responsibilities
•Professional formal communication with relevant public officials and other stakeholders
•Informal relationship building with public officials in respective policy/advocacy areas
•Practical cooperation, preparation, and execution of strategic policies

Events
•Identifying the potential competitive events and clashes to AmCham’s strategic activities
•Assisting with the organization of events in cooperation with the Events team: proposing topics, outlines, and points for discussion, liaising with the speakers, co-drafting background materials for AmCham representatives, venue selection, catering companies, communication with suppliers, etc.
•Post-events tasks responsibility

Financial and Budgetary Responsibility
•Preparation of general reports and financial outcomes, budgets projections of AmCham Košice activities (fundraising, sponsorship, etc.)

Regional Membership
•Identification and acquisition of potential members
•Conducting meetings with companies interested in membership
•Introducing new members into the AmCham community
•Membership engagement and satisfaction

External Relations and Partnerships Building
•Responsible for building good and lasting relations and partnerships with external partners, clients, and suppliers

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Educational Specialization

preferably in business-related, management, marketing, or international relations fields

The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) was founded in 1993 in Bratislava as an independent and self funded organization financed exclusively through the contributions of its members. In September 2003 a new branch of AmCham was opened in Košice to help foster economic development in the Eastern Slovak region.
