Nurse / Zdravotná sestra

American Medical Centers network is expanding its healthcare services and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse to join our team in Bratislava.

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in providing primary care services and supporting the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care at our new facility in Bratislava.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical skills, be able to communicate not only in Slovak, but also in English, and demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm. We also believe that nurses and physicians are equally important parts of our healthcare team.​

​Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting physicians in taking care of patients at the outpatient clinics at AMC, covering health maintenance, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic health conditions. 
2. Performing on-site laboratory draws and ECGs. Obtaining the patient's vital signs. Supporting physicians in ordering diagnostic tests and obtaining test results. 
3. Administering medications, including vaccinations, as directed and under direct physician supervision to address patient needs.
4. Communicating effectively with patients and their relatives. Explaining nursing procedures performed at AMC. Under physician supervision and responsibility notifying patients about normal test results.
5. Accurately record nursing care and maintain nursing documentation.
6. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed. Coordinating closely with physicians, other nurses, and reception staff within AMC or partner clinics to optimize patient care delivery and ensure seamless integration of services.
7. Assisting the Medical Director and Clinic Administrator to assure adequate status of medical and nursing supplies at the Clinic.
8. Providing high-quality nursing care in alternative settings, such as patients' homes or through virtual appointments, as required.
9. Adhere strictly to all nursing and ethical standards, as well as local healthcare regulations, to uphold the highest standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and quality of care.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Degree in Nursing.
2. Valid license from the Slovak Nursing Chamber to practice nursing.
3. Proficiency in both English and Slovak languages to facilitate clear communication with patients and colleagues.
4. Previous experience in nursing or residing abroad is advantageous, although not obligatory.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to engage effectively with patients, their families, as well as with peers and coworkers.
6. Familiarity with computer systems and software utilized for electronic medical records documentation.
