Gynecologist / Gynekológ

​American Medical Centers (AMC) is expanding its healthcare services and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gynecologist to join our team in Bratislava.​

​The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing gynecological and early obstetrical care and services to our patient population at our new facility in Bratislava. Physicians will be responsible for conducting office, examinations, as well as performing online consultations for international patients.​

The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical skills, be fluent in English and Slovak, and demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm. Experience from practicing medicine or living abroad is welcomed.

​Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations and examinations of patients in the outpatient gynecology clinic at AMC, covering routine preventive care, health maintenance, as well as early pregnancy care, and management of acute and chronic gynecological conditions.​

2. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and laboratory tests, to accurately diagnose patients' conditions.

3. Develop personalized treatment plans and provide appropriate therapies, medications, and interventions to address gynecological issues, including reproductive health, and menopausal symptoms.

4. Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear explanations of medical procedures, discussing test results, and offering detailed information about treatment options and preventive measures.

5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, examination findings, and treatment plans, ensuring thorough documentation for continuity of care.

6. ​Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including other gynecologists and obstetricians, as needed, to provide comprehensive personalized care.

7. Coordinate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare providers within AMC or partner clinics to optimize patient care delivery and ensure integrated services.

8. Provide high-quality medical care through virtual appointments or alternative settings, as required, to accommodate patient preferences and needs.

9. Adhere strictly to all medical and ethical standards, as well as local healthcare regulations, to maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and quality of care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of a residency program in obstetrics and gynecology, followed by successful examination and certification.

• Possession of a valid license from the Slovak Medical Chamber (SLK) to practice gynecology, along with registration (kód lekára) from the Úrad pre Dohľad nad Zdravotnou Starostlivosťou (ÚDZS).

• Proficiency in both English and Slovak languages to facilitate effective communication with patients, colleagues at AMC, and other healthcare providers.

• Previous experience in practicing medicine or residing abroad is advantageous, although not obligatory.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to engage effectively with patients and their families, as well as with peers and coworkers.

• Familiarity with computer systems and software utilized for electronic medical records documentation, ensuring efficient and accurate record-keeping practices.
