Pediatrician / Pediater (Všeobecný lekár pre deti a dorast)

American Medical Centers network is expanding its healthcare services and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pediatrician to join our team in Bratislava.

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in providing pediatric primary care services and online consultations for our international patients at our new facility in Bratislava.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical skills, be fluent in English and Slovak, and demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm. Experience from practicing medicine or living abroad is welcomed.

​Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in the outpatient pediatric clinic at AMC, covering health maintenance, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic health conditions.

2. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, and analyze medical records, reports, and examination findings to accurately diagnose patients' conditions.

3. Develop personalized treatment plans and administer appropriate therapies, medications, vaccinations, and medical interventions to address illness, disease, or injury in pediatric patients.

4. Communicate effectively with patients and their parents, explaining medical procedures, discussing test results, and providing detailed information about prescribed treatments.

5. Accurately record and maintain detailed patient information, including medical histories, examination results, and treatment plans, ensuring thorough documentation for continuity of care.

6. Collaborate with medical specialists or other healthcare professionals as needed, facilitating referrals and ensuring coordinated care for patients with complex medical needs.

7. Coordinate closely with nurses and other healthcare providers within AMC or partner clinics to optimize patient care delivery and ensure seamless integration of services.

8. Provide high-quality medical care in alternative settings, such as patients' homes or through virtual appointments, as required to meet patient needs and preferences.

9. Adhere strictly to all medical and ethical standards, as well as local healthcare regulations, to uphold the highest standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and quality of care.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Completion of a pediatrics residency program followed by successful examination (EU certification in pediatrics).

2. Possession of a valid license from the Slovak Medical Chamber (SLK) to practice pediatrics, along with registration (kód lekára) from the Úrad pre Dohľad nad Zdravotnou Starostlivosťou (ÚDZS).

3. Proficiency in both English and Slovak languages to facilitate clear communication with patients, colleagues at AMC, and other healthcare providers.

4. Previous experience in practicing medicine or residing abroad is advantageous, although not obligatory.

5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to engage effectively with patients, and their families, as well as with peers and coworkers.

6. Familiarity with computer systems and software utilized for electronic medical records documentation, ensuring efficient and accurate record-keeping practices.
