Job description, responsibilities and duties

Amazon is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast paced world of European Financial Operations in Bratislava. We’re not an average retailer and this is definitely not your average finance position. Your responsibilities include:

Playing a role in processing payroll for multiple EU countries
Verifying payroll data
Pre- and post-payroll administration
Processing and reconciling payroll transactions (relocation, stock, additional payments)
Employee communication and data administration
Documentation of work processes
Participate in Kaizens and Greenbelts (Six Sigma) or other projects
Provide cover for other team members during sick and leave absences
General ad-hoc duties

Requirements for the employee

Required education

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and
Italian - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in corporate offices. Finance, accounting or payroll is an advantage.
Fluent in English and Italian
Ability to cope with change and meet challenging deadlines under pressure
Good analytical skills
Hands-on experience of data entry and data validation with an ability to carry such tasks out with a high level of discipline and accuracy
Positive/can do attitude as well as the ability to balance multiple priorities
Team player - excellent interpersonal skills but takes initiative and can also work independently
Customer focused - Employee support
Drive for operational excellence
