Senior Finance Analyst with German, Retail AR collections

After training, your responsibility will be to handle payment related queries from Amazon’ Vendors. You will be in regular contact with various internal stakeholders, gaining visibility and future opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
• Utilize language skills to communicate with different stakeholders with strong focus on customer experience and education;
• Reconcile vendor statements received from Amazon vendors with the open amounts in our ledger;
• Analyze receivable discrepancy (commercial agreements, vendor returns, etc.) and fix issues in cooperation with vendors to ensure on-time payments;
• Set up resolution calls with vendors and/or internal stakeholders;
• Escalate when appropriate to direct manager and/or senior leaders;
• Keep detailed notes, create tasks and reminders in our case handling tool;
• Conduct analyses and report on results;
• Assist with removing any technical blockers, identify process improvement areas and drive projects with the support of the Project Management Academy;
• Actively seek solutions for vendors’ and internal teams' needs, communicate trends to leadership and suggest innovative solutions to enhance the customer/supplier experience.

Base pay for this position starts from EUR 1,700 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.

A day in the life
As a Finance Account Receivable Analyst, you will monitor accounts to identify the debit- balance situation. Analysts find and contact vendors (directly via phone and email) to arrange debt payoffs, resolve invoice issues, drive in-depth analyses & financial reconciliation in cooperation with multiple teams. The team keeps accurate records, reports on collection activities and drive monthly targets. There is space for diving deep into our processes and tools to find efficient and sustainable solutions. Working day includes managing programs or projects, on your own or with stakeholders, to ultimately improve our business outcomes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Experience in collections and account reconciliation
  • Fluent German and English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process or procedure improvements
  • Fast learner with ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Oracle usage
  • Experience with small-scale project management
