Senior PHP Backend Developer for B2B Platform

We’re building something big — a new B2B self-service platform that will serve clients across Europe, from Finland to Croatia. To make this vision a reality, we’re looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our One B2B Zone Tribe, focused on creating a seamless experience for small and medium-sized businesses.

What We’re Working On

• A brand-new B2B zone for Slovakia, inspired by profesia.sk, with plans to scale across the Alma Career group (Czechia, Croatia, and beyond).
• A self-service portal where employers can manage job postings, track applicants, and purchase services.
• A universal solution designed for scalability and adaptability across multiple markets.

How We Work

• Agile development with 14-day sprints, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Flexible work setup: work remotely from anywhere.
• We work remotely by default, with daily online stand-ups. In-person meetings are arranged based on team agreement and typically take place every few weeks (2, 4). Our offices are located in Bratislava, Prague, Brno, and Ostrava — and are available for collaboration whenever needed**.**
• Task management via Jira.
• Code versioning and collaboration through Git (GitHub/GitLab).
• Development in PHP 8.2+ using the latest Symfony and Doctrine.
• Adherence to Design Patterns, DDD and SOLID principles.
• Technologies: Doctrine (MySQL, MariaDB), Elasticsearch, Redis.
• Testing: PHPUnit, PHPStan, Deptrac, Playwright, Cypress.
• We use AI tools daily to boost productivity, improve code quality, code review and streamline development.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with PHP 8+ and Symfony (Laravel), Doctrine.
• Familiarity with Git and Docker.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices.
• Experience with DDD is a plus.
• Knowledge of REST APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS is a bonus.
• Experience writing tests with PHPUnit and using tools like PHPStan and Deptrac.
• Analytical mindset, quick learner, and at least intermediate-level English.
• Passion for new technologies and willingness to share knowledge with peers.
