Frontend developer for new B2B platform

Our work spans all over Europe, from Finland to Croatia. Therefore, during developing of new products, we have to ensure that it can be used across all our units. We are currently filling an open position in the One B2B zone tribe, which focuses on developing a self-service zone for small and medium-sized businesses.

How we work and what our goals are

• We are building a new B2B zone for Slovakia, based on the portal [profesia.sk](http://profesia.sk/).
• Our goal is to create a universal solution that can be used across other entities within the Alma Career group.
• The main idea is a self-service zone where employers can manage their job postings, handle applicants, and oversee the usage and purchase of our services.
• We handle tasks through Jira.
• We version control with Git and use GitLab for pull requests and code reviews.
• We test our code using Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
• We develop standalone components in isolation using Storybook.
• We follow agile development with 14-day sprints, during which we plan our work. At the end of each sprint, we have a retrospective to reflect and discuss.
• Our delivery manager oversees the smooth delivery of new features to production.
• Our team is located in Slovakia, and we primarily meet online on a daily basis.
• The whole team meets in person in our offices in Bratislava once every 14 days or at least once a month.

How do we imagine you as our Frontend developer?

• You have a very good knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• You are experienced in functional components in React.
• During development, you have used GIT, Docker, and of course, CSS.
• You have an ability to write well-structured code.
• The knowledge of MUI and/or Emotion is an advantage.
• Also the knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL is an advantage.
• Writing unit tests, for example in Jest, Vitest isn´t nothing new for you.
• Analytical thinking, the ability to learn quickly, and at least intermediate level of English.
• We welcome colleagues who want to apply new methods in web development and are happy to share this knowledge with their peers during our internal DEV meetings.
• An interest in new technologies, curiosity, independence, and a desire to improve oneself are considered essential qualities for our future colleague.
• It would be great if you have familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and experience with Next.js, including server-side rendering with React, a good understanding of working in Monorepo environments, and have encountered or applied DDD (Domain-Driven Design). If you haven't encountered this yet, don't worry—we'll teach you!
