Professional Affairs Specialist

The Professional Affairs position, as part of the Vision Care Sales business unit, is a strategic partner within the commercial organization, i.e. Sales, Marketing and Training, to increase Eye Care Practitioner (ECP) recommendation for Alcon contact lenses, lens care and dry eye brands within Alcon Hungary.
Major Accountabilities
• Strategic partner with Sales and Marketing
• Provide technical expertise & voice of the customer (VOC) to Sales & Marketing for all ECP facing promotional pieces & programs

• Execute ECP educational programs and comprehensive communication toolkit to support all new product launches
• Provide ongoing ECP education for strategically important products
• Manage Local ECP communications (non-peer reviewed articles, advertorials)
• Opinion Leader management : Identify, develop, utilize & monitor contributions of local opinion leaders per Global strategic plan & templates
• Academic development: Ensure future ECPs at optometry / key ophthalmology schools understand the benefits of the Alcon portfolio and know how to prescribe our products effectively
• Sales force technical training
• Represent the company at scientific meetings, teaching institutes, professional organizations etc. Engage in professional optometric associations and teaching institutes to maximize ‘share of voice’
• Establish and develop cooperation with Schools of Optometry on education of students.
• Closely and actively cooperates with EMEA Professional affairs group and follow the given professional guidance
• As a part of ECE professional affairs team support other ECE markets if needed
