Job Overview:

This role is the regional financial leader responsible ensuring financial commitments, compliance, and team development for a grouping of Adient plants.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures team is properly managing their Profit Plan and Outlook processes. Must review and ensure accuracy and limited variance.
• Conducts regular balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy.
• Guarantees team is completing all Month End processes timely and accurately.
• Readily available to provide guidance and support to Plant Controllers and Plant Manager as needed.
• Responsible for improving the P&Ls for a specific grouping of plants. Identifies and supports cost improvements and program profitability activities.
• Maintains a robust internal control environment aligned to the company Business Operating System and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• Supervises and leads a team of plant controllers across north America. Responsible for ensuring team is properly trained, staffed, and supports in professional development activities.
• Ensures plants are supporting all compliance, internal and external audit activities.
• Reviews all Capital Appropriation Requests including financial justification in accordance with company guidelines for assigned plants.
• Partner with the Commercial team on Pricing and Commercial issues and strategies.
• Leads Plants through implementation of new finance and accounting processes and procedures.
• Perform additional related duties and analyses as requested.
• Consolidation reporting for grouping of plants.
• Partner and provide support to Ops Directors.
• Partner with the Commercial team on Pricing and Commercial issues and strategies.
• Monitor BBP to ensure gap closure targets are met.
• Launch costs and Capital spending control.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• 10+ years of finance and accounting background in a manufacturing environment. Automotive experience is a preferred.
• Previous plant controller experience or experience supporting multiple plants is a preferred.
• Ability to step in as a substitute plant controller when required.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings by verbal or presentation format.
• Strong organization skills with follow-through and a focus on “the details”
• A history of success working toward deadlines, multi-tasking and operating in an environment with shifting priorities
• The ability to build partnerships with cross functional team
• Exceptional skills with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with financial systems required. MFGPro/SAP/Hyperion applications preferred.
• Ability to manage complex or ambiguous situations.
• This role is required to travel 25-50% of the time based on business needs.
