Sr IT Software License Analyst

Summary:

Adient is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst, Software Asset Management (SAM) to serve as the operational lead for our software asset management system within our Flexera toolkit. This role will work directly with the SAM Manager and be responsible for the functionality, performance, and daily operation of our SAM tools and workflow. The SAM Analyst will implement and maintain information on software assets and their status. Participates in Software Standards Review to ensure thorough analysis of application functionality and impact prior to approving for distribution on the network. This position will ensure all assets are recorded, tracked, and reported. Leads the implementation of asset tracking methods or tools. Monitors and reports on license compliance and will participate in any audit review of licensing and/or business processes surrounding hardware or software assets. The candidate should possess strong technical and analytical skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, a work ethic based on a desire to exceed expectations, and excellent interpersonal.

Your responsibilities:

Manage lifecycle of software titles in Flexera
Maintain software entitlement procurement and cost data for acquisition and retirement tracking
Monitor software entitlements to ensure compliance with license agreements
Maintain relevant software configuration items within a CMDB
Provide analysis of software data that can be used to drive key business decisions
Assist with license true-up, co-terms & reconciliation
Provide support during software publisher audits
Identify savings opportunities through software re-harvesting and license optimization
Respond to requests from Software Owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management information
Collaborate with management to define cost savings, software compliances and service improvement opportunities

Your qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in IT​
5-10 years IT experience
English required
