Lead Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION

For our Bratislava Business Center we are currently seeking to recruit a

OTC - Lead accountant CASH APPLICATION

Job Description:

• Supervise the Cash application team with daily activities of application of incoming payments
• Ensures correctness and compliance of processes with internal procedures, responsibility for the overall quality
• Develop and motivate team members (i.e. monthly 1 to 1meetings, evaluations, weekly team meetings, communication, high team spirit)
• Ensure the cash application on time and accurate postings to the customer account are in place
• Support the team in follow up of the unapplied cash, with focus on quality deductions, missing documentation etc
• Booking the manual journal entries relating to late cash, bad debt, booking corrections, etc
• Timely react on any requests from internal/ external customers (business, auditors…)
• Review the KPI indicators, monitor quality and appropriate split of portfolios/ activities
• Manage month end close activities:
  • Ensure that all money received on the bank account is properly allocated
  • Report potential unallocated cash
  • Bad debt analysis and posting

Requirements:

• Prior leadership experience
• Excellent leadership and managerial skills
• Good accounting knowledge
• Strong Excel knowledge
• SAP knowledge and Automotive industry knowledge is an advantage
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, result-orientation, responsibility, flexibility
• Managing of stressful situations
• Fluent English, other languages are advantage
