For our Bratislava Business Center we are currently seeking to recruit a
(Senior) VAT Specialist
Are you VAT professional ready for a new challenge? Are the VAT processes your passion? Do you want to explore Data quality area within EMEA region in a global company?
At the moment we are looking for a new colleague for the position of VAT Senior Specialist located in our Business Center in Bratislava, Slovakia. In this role you will support the VAT process design for EMEA which lays out the processes and roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders for Indirect Tax.
You will be also responsible for:
Providing support on VAT related ERP projects across the EMEA region
Managing corrections of master data and transactional data
Assisting in maintaining a proper VAT logic and coding in the ERP systems across the EMEA
Supporting the development and the maintenance of internal controls and policies to minimize VAT exposure and maximize VAT opportunities
Analyzing, adapting and implementing VAT relevant legislation changes in operative processes
Providing targeted and relevant training to our colleagues in Business, Shared Service and Tax Functions

Requirements for the employee
Candidates with education suit the position
Secondary with school-leaving examination
Language skills
English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Personality requirements and skills
* To be successful in this role you should have following profile:
* Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Finance or Tax with focus on Finance and/or Accounting
* Relevant experience in the area of indirect taxes, with focus on data quality and processes
* Advanced level of spoken and written English is a must. You have to be a good communicator able to deal with diverse colleagues all around EMEA region
* SAP knowledge - understanding of VAT setup
* Sound knowledge of accounting principles and related procedures, good VAT knowledge
* Be able to work ethically and with full integrity when making time sensitive or difficult decisions
* Be able to use your personal judgment and initiative to solve all kind of problems
* Be a team player with a positive 'can do’ attitude, and have organizational and planning skills
* Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
