Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Understand the application of the H&S legislation relevant to the Companies business
• Ensure that all “assessments” as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same
• To recommend control measures and advise on the standard of P.P.E. issued to our employees
• Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the company’s operations
• Immediately contact the Site Manager if situations are found, which require immediate rectification or the stopping of any operation
• To notify the Site Manager if the corrective action agreed after any workplace inspection is not implemented by the arranged date
• Advise the Site Manager of all incidents reportable
• To bring new techniques for improving health, safety and welfare to the attention of the Site Manager
• To set a personal example by wearing appropriate personal protective clothing/equipment and observing all safety requirements/procedures
• Your responsibility as a supervisor means assessing various safety hazards and determining the likelihood of an accident occurring
• You have to know who is working on site and it is your responsibility that each individual knows of all potential safety hazards
• To be familiar with the Method statements and risk assessments, to coordinate and disseminate the information contained within the RAMS to employees under your supervision
• Complete recorded daily briefing/maintaining records. Perform safety inspections in location. Daily register of 10 Min Briefings or what document requires
• Safety supervisors are responsible for making sure that all safety equipment is properly maintained
• Identify how you control the employees and implement a system of supervision. Ensure people understand the risks and control measures associated with their work
• To be familiar with all aspects of the administration of Company´s procedures for reporting, as explained and delegated by Company´s recognising that appropriate administrative and management processes are essential to maintain the required health safety and environment and quality for Clients.
