We have an exciting opportunity to work for a leading provider of supply chain solutions to new automotive company in theNitra region. We are hiring for the position of Operations Manager.

Main responsibilities:
-Provide leadership and management direction for all local line and staff personnel consistent with the Strategic Business objectives of the company
- Directs and coordinates materials and production processes and activities aligned to corporate direction.
- Understands and is responsive to external and internal customer demands.
- Advises and trains first line managers and staff of company policy regarding team supervision, customer interface and interacting with staff representatives where necessary.
- Develop and maintain a materials and production reporting system that meets senior management and customer information needs.
- Support the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law and local governing bodies.
- Interview and select employees to fill vacant positions.
- Advise management on appropriate resolution of hourly and salaried employee relations issues.
- Administer harmonious work environment with UK HR Manager.
- Meet company objectives with respect to safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale and environment.
- Actively support all lean initiatives, such as 5S, standardised work, and people involvement.
- Act as principal interface between the customer and the company

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

- Minimum Degree in Manufacturing/Logistics/Business Management or related discipline and or MBA or equivalent.
- Proficient use of Software applications such as CAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Accesses. Data analyses, SAP, MRP/ERP or other electronic logistical inventory management systems is a requirement.
- Ability to communicate in a professional and precise manor is a requirement. (In particular report writing, oral and electronic presentation skills).
- 3 years minimum experience in a managerial capacity in a fast moving industrial environment is a requirement.
- A team player with the ability to manage and motivate a team is a requirement.
- Ability to map a process and write standard work to the highest standard.
- Previous experience in using Lean tools to develop process improvements.
- Working within a management systems environment. (ISO 9001, ISO TS16949, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001) is highly desirable.
- IT competency required (specifically MS Office).
- Understanding of MRP / SAP systems and WMS principles advantageous.
