Job description, responsibilities and duties
Main Purpose:
Maintains job responsibilities of commodities assigned along with any additional responsibilities assigned.
• RFQ preparation
• Participate in cost reduction generation and tracking
• Assist in Trial parts preparation
• Identification of new suppliers, assessments and sourcing proposals
• New part cost negotiation and achievement of target costs for new models
• Data analysis, reporting
• Establish working relationship with all departments, initiate meetings with engineering to understand new part concepts and design concerns.
• Supplier management – understand supplier quality rating (PPM and cause and countermeasure); supplier delivery condition; financial condition; cost reduction performance; market share; etc…
• Communicate supplier issues (quality, delivery, financial, etc.) with management when appropriate.
• Establish good product knowledge and understanding of commodities (part content, part function, raw materials, part benchmark data, process and other suppliers for these type parts).
• Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures as required for department
• Any other duties as required pertaining to the role

• Minimum two years purchasing experience, ideally within an Automotive or manufacturing environment.
• Computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
• Good communication skills,
• Fluent in Slovak and English language, oral and written
• Good negotiation skills, able to consider all opportunities and options both short and long term.
• Self-starter, self-motivated, proactive. Doesn’t require a lot of direction.
• Able to work in isolation or in a team,
• Understand the “system” and “process” of sourcing strategy, cost reduction strategy, cost reduction performance calculations, material economics, foreign exchange, benchmarking etc…
