Job description, responsibilities and duties
For international insurance company which offers a wide range of insurance and fund products in over 70 countries, we are looking for Sr. Java Developer/Java Architect/Java Specialist.
The key responsibilities will be:
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-available, and good performing applications both for the frontend and for the backend
• Monitor systems and applications for waste
• Solve problems relating to mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
• Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning.
• Support CI/CD process maturity including prominent testing strategy

• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Strong proficiency with front-end technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript.
• Experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, NodeJS
• Experience administering Linux systems in a production environment
• Solid understanding of system performance and monitoring
• Understanding of containers and container orchestration with experience in one or more of the following technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, Cloudfoundry
• Good working knowledge of build automation and continuous integration/delivery processes and tools: Git, Gerrit, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, Nexus, Artifactory. Selenium
• Experience with infrastructure configuration and automations processes and tools: Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Fabric, Terraform
• Demonstrate skills in priority setting, analysis, communication, time management, scheduling, and multitasking.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills in English
• Flexibility regarding business trips (50% of the worktime might be filled with traveling)
