Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Procuring mechanical components, raw materials and other production supplies at the optimum price, quality, and service, accordingly with the purchasing principles and procedures controlled by the Corporate Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager
• Monitoring supplier performance and recommending and facilitating corrective action for recurring quality or delivery problems
• Reviewing requisitions for accuracy of technical information, quantity, specification, requisition authority, and shipping instructions
• Participating in value analyses, cost/price analyses, and make or buy decisions, and validating cost estimates included with requisition where applicable

Personality requirements and skills

- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-year experience in machinery field, in purchasing and procurement of metal raw materials, custom mechanical components, production supplies
- sound working knowledge of purchasing principles, including the ability to research, analyze, negotiate and purchase custom mechanical components
- able to interpret mechanical drawings
- sound working knowledge of PC based software packages including Excel and Word.
- requires experience with MRP
- Fluent in English
