Business Developer

Job brief
Above Academy is looking for a results-driven Business Developer to actively seek out and engage B2B customer prospects. This position requires entrepreneurial spirit, high initiative and superb communication skills. You will be our representative on the market and coordinate all the sales activities with our sales department. This is an ideal position for an individual interested in natural health and personal
development. You will look to ace your core responsibilities while taking on new projects that move Above Academy and your career forward.

On any given day, you’ll be doing one or all of these things

  • Working in Business Development you will be involved in pitching and presenting at boardroom level. This include presentations to HR departments and other prospective customers
  • Perform needs analysis of potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Your main area of focus will be to generate new leads with the aim of creating more sales
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities,
and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Use initiative and judgement within established guidelines

Desired skills and experience

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • You have demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive programs independently
  • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • You work well with little direction but know when to ask for help and keep your team informed
