Job description, responsibilities and duties
SKOPC Engineering Team is currently looking for a new member – Senior Project Lead Engineer – who will lead and work in a team on a wide range of international T&D projects.
Tasks:
- Technical lead, supervise and coordinate SKOPC
engineering team and external sub-suppliers
- Plan and coordinate engineering activities and resources across several projects
- Responsible for on Time, on Budget delivery of the design
packages
- Ensure the project specific implementation of uniform
design practices and quality control processes within SKOPC
- Manage change control processes effectively
- Co-ordinate directly with clients, engineer,
sub-contractors
and suppliers technical issues and technical interfaces
- Report opportunities and risks to line management/
project management
- Plan and conduct design reviews
- Support the sales team in all technical matters
- Provide proactive technical advice and documentation
- Ensure completeness of delivery scope from suppliers

Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical/Power System Engineering
- 8-10 years’ experience in substation design up to 400 kV with focus on secondary design and control & protection solutions, substation interface concept with primary equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAE applications and tools like PCM600/IET600/E3
- Overview in international standards
- Sound understanding of electronic records management systems
- Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of project scheduling (planning) and appreciation of the
interrelationships to the broader project
- Obtained at least 12 months of construction and or commissioning site experience
- Degree in Electrical/Power System Engineering
