To strengthen our organization we are currently looking for a

IT technical support employee (m/f/d - fulltime),

location Trencin, Slovakia

who will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all local computer systems and data communications activities. You work to install, configure and troubleshoot computer hardware and soft­ware. As part of this process you work to create proper documentation, diagrams and other detailed instruc­tions to help other employees make the best use of new technologies.

 

To approx. 50% you are available for programming and/or administrating, which is used all over Europe. You are responsible for performing needed analytical and software programming functions for departmental applications, interfaces, data extracts, and reporting from current systems as well as design, testing, instal­lation, implementation, validation, support, and maintenance of new innovative.

Your responsibilities:

  • Monitors, operates, or coordinates and assists others in the operation of computer hardware, (mobile) phone services, printers, software, and peripherals in order to achieve desired results 
  • Sets up and configures desktop computers, laptops, mobile phones, printers, peripherals and accounts assigning security level
  • Provides technical support for computer and (mobile) phone users 
  • Installs and configures computer hardware operating systems, telephony services  and applications
  • Troubleshoots day-to-day computer user related problems, system and network problems and diagnoses and solves hardware or software faults. Implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate
  • Replaces parts as required
  • Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications
  • Maintains security of network and data through backup procedures, user profiles maintenance and virus detection
  • Familiarisation with technical IT and its support, such as PDA systems, robot systems, etc
  • If needed; setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
  • Europe-wide: Develop or modify diverse pro­grams and/or support administration collegues in English spoken support topics
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information security or related areas
  • Professional network and other computer certi­fications, such as A+ and MSCE, are preferre
  • 4+ years of solid work experience in a technical IT-Administration role in an International work environment
  • Hands on experience of installing IT hardware and software
  • Hands-on, in-depth experience in interacting with end users on a regular basis, trouble­shoo­ting their issues and multi-tasking between support requests, frequently re­prioritizing re­quests as the volume of tickets fluctuate
  • Experience in working with an ERP system, preferably SAP
  • Experience in dealing with multinational customers
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to function independently while operating effectively within a team environment
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Europe
  • Fluency in local language and English language skills, speaking and writing
