Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a positive, open-minded and assertive person with strong communication skills, who will be working intensively with our stakeholders, suppliers and teams within the IT Service Operations organisation. You will take on the operational management of smaller and medium distinct local projects, sub-projects or work streams of a larger international projects. You will also ensure that the overall project objectives are clearly defined, tracked and met.

What would you do:

  • Successful implementation of small, or low/medium complexity projects, sub-projects or phases of a larger project
  • Complying with requirements to meet stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Balancing the competing constraints of scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and risk to produce the specified results
  • Ensuring change readiness of receiving organization
  • Supports the sponsor in the setup of the project to ensure that the business case is clearly defined (including estimates of required resources and funds)
  • Engages relevant stakeholders as part of evaluating the preferred product solution
  • Identifies, defines, combines, unifies, and coordinates the various project management processes and activities within the Zurich Project Management Framework (ZPMF)
  • Develops a detailed project plan at task level based on the agreed business case
  • Manages and controls project delivery in accordance with base lined parameters and standards (time, cost, quality)
  • Conducts risk management & control, planning, identification, analysis, response planning
  • Addresses issues as they occur, manages conflicting interests and develops appropriate management strategies for effectively engaging stakeholders in project decisions and executive

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher
  • 2 or more years are required in the field of IT Project Management ideally in a multi-supplier environment
  • Proven effective stakeholder management
  • Experience based on best practice frameworks such as ITIL or COBIT and SCRUM or PMBOK
  • ITIL Foundation/Intermediate certification or equivalent is a plus
  • Certified in Project Management (CAPM, PMP, Prince2) or equivalent
  • Reporting experience with Power BI or other reporting tools – for projects or operational topics
  • Above average skills of Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Strong ability to adhere to tight timelines and to manage limited resources effectively for success
  • English: Fluent

Minimal salary offered for the position is 2900EUR plus other pay elements based on your experience.
