About the role:
• You will report directly to the Associate Director Global Automation Engineering, and you will be responsible for the delivery of innovative manufacturing process automation solutions conforming to agreed project timelines and budgetary projections
• You will work in partnership with R&D teams and you will be responsible to specify and deliver equipment capable of manufacturing New Product Designs to the highest safety, quality and efficiency in a cost effective manner, ensuring full compliance with both ConvaTec procedures, local laws and policies
• You will be based at the Michalovce production facility (Current Covid restrictions require also an amount of time working from home)
• You will Work with other Project managers within the Global Automation and Engineering Team and key functions across all operational networks to ensure effective group planning, execution and reporting
• You will be comfortable leading and delivering projects will full transparency, detailed regular reporting on status, financials and actions to all stakeholders within the designated operations network ensuring processes and products are delivered to the highest quality and customer satisfaction

Your key duties and responsibilities:
• Be the project lead on all assigned projects, be the single point of contact with all Stakeholders and equipment /service vendors
• Formulation and writing of the following:
- URS documentation to fully reflect the system/equipment requirements of the project
- Capital Acquisition Requests documentation including budgetary forecasting spreadsheets
- Change Control Records – describing the system/equipment and or changes to existing equipment, detailing the impact to the business and product portfolio
- Master Validation Plans – outlining the required validation in conformance with SOP 000096
- Detailed Project Timeline Plans
- Equipment/system/process FAT/SAT/IQ protocols and reports
• Compile and deliver regular updates on all assigned projects to all stakeholders / end users
• Manage and accurately report on project budgetary matters
• Control vendor stage payments and obtain evidence prior to authorising payment
• Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Automation (DFA) inputs to the R&D teams throughout the product design cycle
• Manage POP trials and their execution as required
• Deliver a strong customer service focus and create lasting relationships with customers and suppliers
• Deliver technical and commercial evaluation and approval of vendor proposals for equipment and technology
• Assist site-based facilities teams / end users with the construction of plant maintenance activity documentation based upon vendor/3rd party literature to help support the Maintenance Excellence goals
• Work in full compliance with the Global sourcing policy
• Identify and incorporate lessons learnt and continually refine the Global Automation & Engineering Team SharePoint tool/template management System
• Work within the Global Automation & Engineering SharePoint environment to pre-defined documentation tools/templates and processes

Personality requirements and skills

About you:
• Demonstrable experience working with R&D teams in delivering automated manufacturing equipment solutions for new products
• Demonstrable experience working as a project manager within a highly automated manufacturing environment, identifying and implementing Industry 4.0 compatible manufacturing technology solutions within the workspace
• Significant experience working as a project manager with automated plastic extrusion, lamination, joining, assembly, marking, inspection, packaging and labelling processes
• Demonstrate a full understanding of the ‘Life cycle’ of a project and be experienced will all aspects and deliverables within that ‘Life cycle’ from concept justification to URS/RFP/POP/FAT/SAT/IQ to handover
• Possess excellent attention to detail, be meticulous and thorough in all aspects of the project deliverables
• Proficiency with CAD/SolidWorks or similar

Education / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a scientific subject
• Documented project management training and/or certificate e.g. IPMA-C/B, Prince2, PMP is preferable
• Be proficient in the use (speaking) and understanding (reading and writing) of the English language

Travel Requirements:
The role will involve local and international travel of up to 25%.


Working Conditions:
The role will require flexibility (as required) to visit and work with engineering vendors for machine development, suppliers for material sourcing and ConvaTec manufacturing sites for machine installation/validation.


Special Factors:
The role will require flexible working hours to include but not limited to, weekdays and nights, weekend days and nights, public holidays, short notice changes to schedule and autonomous working and travel.


Training Requirements:
All training deemed necessary to compliment the role will be agreed and provided upon completion of a training needs assessment.
