Project Engineer

This position is responsible for managing engineering projects to support network strategy and also the development and introduction of new machines/technology to support new product introduction and operations base business requirements, through development of management systems & partnerships (internal & external); ensuring processes and products are delivered to the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Scope and Responsibilities:

• Develops relationships within operations, GDC and with external machine vendors, material suppliers and consultants to manage the successful introduction of new products and machines through technology development/transfer
• Possesses a very good technical knowledge of Convatec’s products, materials & process technologies and has an excellent understanding of proprietary & innovative products, materials & process technologies to identify and implement opportunities that deliver continuous improvement
• Manages the implementation of capital and process improvement projects to ensure that operations delivers a value added ‘return on investment’ and provides a significant competitive advantage to the business including ability to technically and commercially evaluate vendor proposals for machines and technology
• Manages accountable steps within the project Management and Change Control Process for the successful development and delivery of products and machines
• Supports the development, communication and execution of Operations Engineering management strategies and visions that are aligned to the ConvaTec business
• Develops management systems and project management techniques to ensure effective project delivery to meet quality, cost and time objectives.
• Develops and ensures compliance with engineering and EHS standards
• Effectively leads and/or is a member of high performance teams by collaborating across the business, securing the best available talent, recognition and rewarding creativity and innovation, developing staff through learning opportunities and providing on-going feedback and coaching
