Firewall Architect

Mission
• Work on various international projects and service level requests for customers around the globe.
• Ensure operable design of internal and external customer firewall solutions including connected peripherals.
• Enable a smooth build and transition of new firewall services from projects into a normal mode of operations.
• Provide a technical guidance to firewall operations teams around the globe.
• Analyze and resolves firewall hardware and software problems in timely and accurate fashion, and provides 3rd level support when required.

Responsibilities
• Analyze technical needs, business requirements, and state of the FW’s infrastructure design to develop technical firewall services and their framework.
• Work with technical teams to architect firewalls that effectively reflect business needs, service-level, security and availability requirements, and other technology parameters.
• Produce a service design blueprint for a complex, large-scale, integrated network.
• Develop design principles, models, plans, internal standards, budgets, and processes based on industry best practices.
• Build, test, and inspect firewall systems.
• Perform network/firewall troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose very complex network problems.
• Lead teams of other firewall engineers in developing detailed designs and quality-control mechanisms during implementation.
• Establish governing principles for firewall design and deployment.
• Assist firewall operation team members to operate firewall architectures.
• Participate in selection of firewall technologies and products for implementation
• Prepare a proof of concepts to justify opportunities of a newly adopted technologies.
• Communicate the role and value of the firewall to the organization and present the business case for technology investments.
