About the job:

UNIQA 4WARD is looking for an ambitious and service-oriented SIEM specialist to join our security team in Bratislava. This position will play a key role in the evolution of UNIQA’s security incident detection capabilities.

Together with our implementation partner you will be implementing a central SIEM solution for UNIQA and a managed security operations center. Also you will be responsible for the system’s constant development and effectiveness. This role also involves giving advice concerning this topic to security officers of the entire UNIQA group in 18 different countries.

Your responsibilities in more detail:

• Implement a central SIEM solution and a managed security operation center together with our implementation partner.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and partner companies.
• Adopt internal security incident processes and guidelines.
• Constantly improve the SIEM solution by creating new use cases and regularly challenge it with Blue Team / Red Team exercises.
• Develop relevant KPIs and report to the head of security group of UNIQA IT Services
• Give advice to all UNIQA security officers in 18 different countries concerning SIEM or similar topics from this security domain.
• Stay informed to advance UNIQA’s detection and prevention capabilities to constantly address new attack vectors and threats.

Your required skills and qualifications:

• Have experience in the deployment of SIEM solutions and its constant improvement.
• Have experience with traffic analysis, threat hunting or vulnerability management.
• Hold or work towards a recognized and relevant IT Security certification (i.e. SSCP, CISSP, OSCP)
• 4+ years of proven Information Technology experience with strong understanding of network protocols, server infrastructure and system design
• Knowledge of information system architecture and security controls (i.e. firewalls and web application gateways, IPS systems, operating systems configurations)
• Solid and demonstrable comprehension of Information Security including a full understanding of the cyber risk landscape.
• Project delivery experience
• Ability to convert high level requirements into technical designs that are commercially viable and suit their operating environment
• Ability to convey a technical solution to senior management in a clear and concise manner
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strategic thinker with proven analytical and problem solving abilities
• A team player who is hardworking and self-motivated
• Ability to effectively plan and prioritize workloads, and to measure and report on current progress
• Must adhere to and promote team standards including documentation
