managing supplier performance and standards both from the office and at suppliers/growers
complete all Technical tasks in product development processes
conducting product and supplier reviews and communicating with the relevant Sourcing teams
Key activities
Work with suppliers and help them to achieve Tesco Standards and Requirements
Identify new suppliers, propose potential site and production consolidation
Set a clear site visit plan based on risk assessment and keep it updated
Visit suppliers according to the schedule
Track and close all non-conformances following Tesco Standard audits by physical control of Corrective Action Plan (CAP)
Manage ethical trading with suppliers, monitor completion of required ethical audits and corrected non-conformances
Support tenders, record all necessary technical requirements in product briefs
Develop new products with Brand, Buying and Quality teams in accordance with NPD critical path
Approve Technical specifications and artworks with suppliers to make sure that products are safe and legal and in accordance with all Tesco rules
Work with local authorities to ensure that products are legal and fulfil relevant regulations
Provide Quality team with information about regular testing, take part in testing processes and close failures on time, according to procedures
Identify the root cause of my product related problems and complete CAP with suppliers
Solve enforcement challenges related to my products
Manage Product Withdrawal process regarding my products
Solve customer and store complaints with suppliers
Support colleagues in local and CE teams on artwork approval and stickers for imported products according to relevant ways of working
Manage legislation changes, inform and support related CE teams
Work with relevant technical data bases and complete periodical category reviews, KPIs
