Engneering and Project Manager

We are an international Belgian sheet metal manufacturing company and we want to grow our team with a dynamic and driven Head Engineering and project Management for our Slovakian plants.

In this position you lead in an inspiring way approximately 30 people in 2 production plants (Turany-Lipany); divided over technologists, designers and project managers. You are experienced with manufacturing processes: laser cutting, punching, bending, welding (manual, robot, 3D-laser, spot), machining, connecting (glue/rivet), painting (powder, wet) and assembly/packaging.

It is a challenging job in which managing and setting the right technologies is central.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer specifications for risks and production costs;
• Set the right technology and processes: BOM/BOW.
• Challenge technical growth;
• Offer solutions for (conceptual) problems both internally and at the customer;
• Determine the capacity and plan the workload;
• Analyse costs and processes;
• Monitor on hours-spent and costs at department level;
• Report progress on projects and NPI’s; technical preparation, planning and organization
• Contribute to the continuous improvement processes in both plants;
