Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
Main responsibilities:
• Drive quality improvement programs to achieve agreed performance targets in areas such as complaint levels (QN’s), CAPA closure (Corrective Action/Preventative Action), COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality), in-process defect reduction & audit compliance
• Ongoing review of production processes and process quality control systems, using appropriate reporting (Customer complaints and in-process failures, efficiency problems, etc.) to identify and implement improvement opportunities in the process quality control system
• Utilize appropriate investigative techniques and analysis to resolve quality problems as they arise. In particular, facilitate teams through the 8D process and ensure close out and follow up on all issues identified.
• Track all key quality performance indicators such as Scrap, QN’s, FQA, NPI, and audit process and report them on a timely basis. Analysis of the data to drive corrective action and continual improvement.
• Support application of Lean Six Sigma tools to ensure all failure modes are defined and addressed or to monitor process performance and drive the Quality toward the "0" defect.
• Implement root cause resolution through investigation of defects, analysis reports etc. to identify specific quality root causes.
• Support the company’s continued accreditation to IATF16949 standard and implement effective corrective actions where non-conformances arise.

Personality requirements and skills
• Minimum 4 years related experience in a manufacturing environment essential.
• Degree in Engineering or Technical disciplines or equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrated track record in quality improvement.
• Working knowledge of SAP (it will be an advantage).
• Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements including IATF16949 (it will be an advantage).
• Working knowledge of quality tools such as R&R, Cpk, FMEA, Problem Solving/Root Cause analysis, Six Sigma tools and Minitab software.
• Good English knowledge (spoken and written).
