We are looking for a highly motivated and result oriented colleague with great analytical skills to join our team.

Managing costs is a critical activity to ensure the success of a business. You will get an excellent opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge of the organization's structure, functional responsibilities and cost drivers. As a part of the Cost Controlling team you will be responsible for financial planning & analysis of expenses for the Asset Management function within Swiss Re. We closely cooperate with several departments within the Group. The job itself along with the team's trainings framework and Swiss Re's knowledge-sharing culture offer excellent learning opportunities as you would have insights into how asset management works particularly in relation to cost controlling. Our team is multinational, spread across various locations including New York, Zurich and London.

The Asset Management (AM) function manages the assets that Swiss Re generates through its core insurance and reinsurance businesses. We do so by using a robust asset-liability management process. In addition to matching assets and liabilities, the team optimizes risk-adjusted investment returns within defined risk limits. Their portfolios are handled individually according to their needs and objectives.

Key responsibilities:

Cost and headcount planning, reporting and analysis which entails the following:

• You will produce reports for management including preparation of PowerPoint slides on cost, headcount as well as variance analysis and projections

• You will support planning process and update projections during the year, which entails coordination and analysis of budget to reflect organizational changes and analyze information on headcount and expenses

• You will submit annual expense plan and updated projections to centralized systems

• You will perform other monthly financial and headcount related tasks, including analysis of accruals and prepayments as well as analysis of various expense categories.

• You will collaborate and maintain relationships with a number of internal clients, mostly department heads.

• University degree in Business Administration, or 1-5 years relevant work experience

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

• Strong in MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

• Ability to work independently
