Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Reporting Professional gets the opportunity to work with the finance community making sure that Finance Re is providing consistent, reliable, and timely information to its clients. There are 2 main areas that the team operates in, and the role is to become an expert in one of those areas, while also developing skills and knowledge to be able to work with team members specialising in the other area.
Reporting Operations Area is responsible for the maintenance and review of Standard Reports, definition and set-up of new report standards and support training activities.
The Master Data and Quality Assurance Area is steering and maintaining information to ease management reporting. The main drivers are booking and organizational structure attributes (Profit Centres and Types of Amount). The team has to make sure that the data and attributes are consistent and reliable.
In addition, development and implementation of the new strategic SAP reporting solution is currently ongoing providing opportunity to shape the future while gather unique knowledge and experience.
Key accountabilities
• Ensure that data and attributes used by reporting systems are consistent and reliable
• Ensure that reporting system accurately delivers information required by stakeholders
• Maintain and enhance standard and non-standard reports in cooperation with other business units
• Take ownership of the LHSL platform and be actively involved in any architecture decisions
• Support Finance, FP&A, Actuarial and Technical Accounting in all regions of L&H
• Perform testing and data maintenance tasks in timely manner
• Maintain documentation and knowledge database
• Perform other position related tasks as instructed by Supervisor

• University degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a role relevant to Financial Reporting, with strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Previous experience with reporting or BI tools (Oracle Discoverer, Business Objects, Crystal Reports…)
• Strong analytical skills with interest in information systems and reports
• Proficient in MS Office applications with experience in handling large data volume in Excel
• Accurate and detail-oriented team player
• Flexible and open minded - committed to a permanent learning experience
• Ability to fluently communicate in English across various groups of people
Advantageous skills
• Knowledge in languages and techniques like R, Python, SQL, NOSQL, PowerBI
• Knowledge in IFRS accounting standard
