About the Team
As Junior Business Analyst you would join a Business Analytics team - part of our Technical Accounting department in Bratislava. In this role you will have opportunities to build your career with skilled professional and always learn something new.

What are our priorities?
We provide excellent opportunities to collaborate with various teams within Swiss Re, locally and globally, therefore our new colleague must have a keen eye for detail, analyzing and interpreting large data and support decision-making in collaboration with various professionals and partners across the organization. We derive logical conclusions which support business decisions and improve data quality.

What would be your key responsibilities?
- Analysis and interpretation of financial results (e.g. technical result, unallocated cash balances, specific bookings, revenues and accruals, trending) and booking movement analysis with comparison to estimated figure
- Apply a systematic approach to read, interpret and independently apply the terms of agreements (treaty) against client reported data
- Assist in Quarterly reporting to Finance and Actuarial management in consultation with Valuation team
- Adopt new technologies and develop tailor made solutions (Power BI, Power Query, Foundry, R, Python)
- Perform premium rate check in accordance with global process and prepare relevant analysis and documentation
- Contribute to overall units Data quality activities (audit, specific checks and controls)
- Present the output of analysis and propose resolution of exceptions

Personality requirements and skills

- Bachelor/Master's in Finance or Accounting or equivalent on the job experience (Insurance/Finance related certifications will be an added advantage)
- Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to challenge the status quo, contribute & prioritize multiple partners (multi-cultural and cross functional teams in a virtual set-up)
- Being an agile teammate with the ability to handle own workload and demonstrate a sense of Accountable, Responsible and Commitment

Nice-to-have
- Knowledge on insurance and reinsurance concepts preferably in Life&Health domain (E2E L&H Value Chain, Life & Health products) is a plus
