What Data Management team does?

Our Data Management team is established to meet the objective of improved data analytics, positioned to collect client data from various sources before analyzing and delivering output to partners. Assisting and supporting the Life and Health Business Management team in delivering transparency for the in-force business portfolio.

We are looking for a new colleague who will be eager to learn and capable to bring creative solutions to the table! You would also possess good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with partners both within and outside Business Management to ensure that the data delivery is accurate and fit for purpose.

Key Accountabilities

In this role your responsibilities would be to analyze client policy and claims client data and underlying treaty wordings, and to format and map the data into a standardized format into various Swiss Re systems.

Moreover you will be:

- Performing detailed analysis of client policy files, which will require an understanding of underlying product and treaty wordings
- Formatting, validating and mapping of L&H policy and claims data from various European, Middle East and African markets, using standardized formats
- Testing and documenting evidence of successful conversion into our data warehouses
- Collaborating closely with the Actuarial Management Team, to ensure that data delivered is accurate and meets the requirements and with the TA Operations team to resolve data queries
- Supporting continuous loading of data in a production environment
- Working with Technology (Power Query, PowerBI, Stargate, etc.) to efficiently support your work and come up with new insights

About the Team

Data Management team sits in the structure of L&H Technical accounting department and contributes to the core business within Swiss Re. Our purpose is making policy and claims data accessible in standardized format to Swiss Re departments for the purpose of reserving, automated validations and additionally to other activities. The quality of our work influences Swiss Re reputation and is instrumental in the company's growth in all markets around the world.

- Experience in EMEA insurance/reinsurance market or similar working experience
- Proficient English written and spoken
- Proficient level on Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Analytical thinking with interest in information systems, reports and data
- Demonstrate the ability to explore new insights and develop solutions, followed by effective implementation
- Accomplished interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate optimally and influence both internal and external clients
- Pragmatic attitude to problem solving and have strong decision-making skills
- Critical Thinking - Tackle business problems using data to find answers to questions, syntheses connections that are not so clear

Nice-to have
