Job description, responsibilities and duties

Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Third Party Cyber Risk Specialist, you'll be tasked with gathering and analysing data about third-party services provided to Swiss Re, evaluating associated risks, and participating in general assessments – with an opportunity to learn all about top-notch cybersecurity and gain insights on how cyber risks are handled. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.

About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk, and compliance, and defining as well as advancing the company's security strategy.

As a part of the Security Team, the Third Party Cyber Risk Management team reduces the supply chain cyberattack surface by identifying risks represented by third parties, proposing remediation actions, and making risks transparent to risk-takers and stakeholders. We're looking for an up-and-coming security-enthusiast who's ready to contribute to Swiss Re's cyber security initiatives and delve into the world of third-party risk evaluation and cyber risk mitigation.

In your role, you will…
- Cooperate with service recipients across the organisation
- Gather and analyse data from multiple sources on third-party services provided to Swiss Re
- Interpret findings and evaluate risks
- Participate in assessments of third parties from due diligence/onboarding, through service provision, to service termination
- Build your knowledge in cybersecurity domains, frameworks, and standards
- Gain insights into various companies around the world, learning about different approaches towards handling cyber risks

What we need from you
- Interest in security standards and frameworks (such as ISO 27000, NIST, ISF, etc.)
- Ability to analyse and compare data, perform quality checks and data consolidation
- Great understanding of Microsoft (MS) tool landscape
- Expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint
- Good to excellent command of English
- Solid understanding of digital technologies,
- Being a motivated fast learner and good listener
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
