Main duties:
- Lead and coordinate the Governance workstream on behalf of Finance Reinsurance in a global project
- Ensure right control- and quality framework is in place to gain efficiencies
- Drive the risk assessments for strategic transformation initiatives, such as USGAAP to IFRS transformation
- Propose, design, and implement new digital processes and tools to improve the finance journey for all partners involved
- Provide transparency on progress by actively communicating with all involved partners across regions
- Be in charge of managing the change of controls environment
- Consult on audit advisory matters (both internally and externally) such as transparency towards assurance functions

About the Team

Our team is part of central Accounting & Reporting department, which is responsible for the production of financial figures, the consolidation of financial views in Reinsurance for external reporting and ensuring consistency across US GAAP, statutory and economic reporting bases.

More specifically, FinRe Governance & Advisory team provides an advice and acts as trusted partner to Swiss Re Finance teams globally in the management of governance framework. Our team advises on risk mitigations in process and control related matters, and drives the transition of the new group valuation & IT infrastructure from risk perspective.

Personality requirements and skills

Who are we looking for:
- University degree in Economics/Finance
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
- IFRS knowledge (IFRS 9 & IFRS 17) and project management experience is an advantage
- You can coach and mentor other colleagues (peer coaching)
- Strong analytical skills to resolve complex queries
- Your English is excellent (written and spoken)
- You have a commercial & consulting approach to challenge the status quo and understanding of business partners' needs
