About the Role

Are you looking for new role where you could use your analytical skills, investigate data and communicate with clients in French and English? We are looking for enthusiastic colleague to join our Technical Accounting team based in Bratislava. Our team is responsible for running end-to-end process of the reinsurance accounts, cash flow and data quality of the respective portfolio. The portfolio comprises set of our clients who are primarily insurance companies and brokers.

You main tasks will include:

- Full accountability and efficient end-to-end handling of assigned set of clients/portfolio
- Technical verification of received reinsurance accounts from clients as agreed in treaties, clarify deviations or incorrect data with SR's internal departments and/or with clients.
- Business correspondence with clients (call, email etc.)
- Process the accounts following set of complex guidelines and processes which include claims issues to our claims department
- Financial settlement with clients according to treaty terms and agreements, timely management of overall cash flow
- Data quality control and risk management related activities according to internal guidelines
- Ensure that the agreed priorities, timelines and service standards are achieved
- Proactive investigation, analysis and interpretation of processed accounting information and regular reporting activities
- Sharing information with other team members and if needed support cross-team collaboration
- Contact external clients directly (either written or verbal) to clarify and resolve any operational issues such as missing accounting information, incorrect data, payment delays etc. On many occasions, the TA prepares client visit information and sometimes joins other SR colleagues during the client visit

About the Team

Our Technical accounting department is a part of the core business operations within Swiss Re. We receive invoices from clients, analyse and process documents and bring cash in house. The quality of our work influences Swiss Re reputation and is instrumental in the company's growth in all markets around the world.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and French - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• You have University degree preferably in the area of finance, accounting, economics or secondary economic school or secondary grammar school
• You have working experience in the area of finance, accounting or administration
• You are proficient in English and French, both written and spoken
• You have great knowledge and experience with MS Office - Excel
• You are passionate about numbers with outstanding business interpersonal skills
