We are looking for an engaging, curious, and reliable colleague to join our team. Here at Swiss Re we take care of the Service Operations for data-centric applications like Data Analytics Systems, Data Warehouses and Master Data Management. There is not one day like any other. Your Main Activities

You will supervise and coordinate received cloud services, ensuring information quality, accuracy, and in-time availability. Manage and resolve technical service deviations and coordinate availability with all business partners involved. This Job requires you to improve and automate, striving for efficiency. Join us and be the DevOps partner for our agile developers and squads, coordinating and managing release deployments.

1. Delivery of operations services:
• Act as DevOps partner influencing development to improve functionality
• Analyse and resolve service deviations in SQL environment (Oracle and Azure) and within our tooling
• Building the operations monitoring and reporting using tools like Palantier or Power Tools
• Lead the change pipeline upgrading services, following and supporting agile principles

2. Endorsing continuous improvements:
• On-boarding new cloud-provided services as MS Azure, Azure Data Factory or Stargate
• Strive for service automation where possible – find solution or technology for better speed and performance without manual effort
• Communication of relevant information to partners
• Supply testing activities from an engineering point of view

About the Team

You will work within an international, dynamic and diverse IT team where everyone is encouraged to deliver values and develop skills. We are looking for you to help us coordinate activities on the US market for our customers and support a small group of developers there.

Since the role is focused on the US market, we need you to help us covering our presence in the Americas time zone (16-24h CET working time). Working on a US shift in our team means more flexibility and time for you to improve your skills and get to know new technology, since the workload is completely manageable.

• University degree in IT or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a comparable environment
• Basic relational database background, experiences with SQL scripting
• Sound knowledge in DevOps and servicing of data warehouses
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with our US team and customers
• Consistent track record of delivering results and impact, constantly looking for opportunities to innovate and get things done better
• Quality and solution orientation, persistence and a creative and curious mind
• Strong interpersonal skills like positive attitude and teamwork
• Advanced English language, since you will communicate with US clients regularly.
