Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a new team member to own the Financial Control and Data Governance processes reporting directly to the Head of Finance Operations and working closely with the wider iptiQ Finance team, iptiQ Data Operations Team, Distribution Partners and Third-Party Administrators.

Supporting the iptiQ Finance function, your position ensures reliability of Finance processes. You will act as the key finance contact point for finance systems and process queries and play a key role in resolving issues from control and monitoring activity,

In addition, your role is key to ensuring finance's compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will be:
• Ensure that financial data required for reporting and submissions is delivered on time and to required standard
• Coordination and control of the balance sheet reconciliation process and control environment
• Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and the audit requirements
• Partner with IT and Finance and monitor the effective flow of information within finance systems.
• Identify areas of improvement to business processes / system changes that can be achieved through system-based changes
• Control the team's End User Application (EUA) inventory, working with the Finance team and wider business to identify unsupported EUAs
• Ensure operating issues and events are appropriately documented in the Group Risk and Control tool
• Contribute and support Finance related projects, including new deals and other ad-hoc tasks as required
• Maintain a reliable and controlled source system mapping table process
• Support internal / external audit activities and prepare requested information
• Key customer management for iptiQ EMEA L&H entities across the relevant accounting valuations between system users and providers.
• Perform quality and consistency checks on outputs

Requirements for the employee

Personality requirements and skills

• Three or more years of work experience in the financial services industry (work experience in a controls/audit role is desirable)
• Experience of project management or business improvement
• University degree in Economics, Science, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Qualification in Accounting and/or Audit or equivalent experience
• Strong communication skills – able to explain complex issues in a clear and concise fashion
• Experience of managing external relationships
• PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Teammate with good interpersonal skills and an engaging and motivating persona
• Advanced English language ability
