Job description, responsibilities and duties

As an agile coach you are at the forefront of transforming our organisation to be more agile, focusing on making a difference to Swiss Re. You are part of the cultural transformation to move our enterprise towards a tech and data driven risk knowledge company.
As an experienced change leader, you'll help our employees and management to understand and support the agile way of working. You will be a key player to drive the current agile transformation initiative in Information Technology in the GTS Employee Workplace Functional Area, by coaching and supporting all involved teams and people on their agile transformation. As a catalyst, you drive continuous improvements and changes across the GTS Employee Workplace area.

On this role, you:
• Train and coach the GTS Employee Workplace Area in Agile techniques using empirical methods and practices so that the team are firmly on a path of continuous improvement and self-learning. Work with the organization to implement different approaches to delivering change using different Agile techniques and practices
• Support the organization and the different teams at various stages of their Agile journey, identify and address impediments. Develop & coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Agile Leaders and more
• Consulting and providing guidance on specific issues raised during the Agile journey across the organization
• Design, maintain and develop the agile governance and best practice continuously
• Coach and support the GTS Employee Workplace Leadership team into a Catalyst Leadership
• Help the organization embrace agile as a cultural shift

You will be expected to:
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and best practices to progress the work of the Product Area(s)
• Mentor and Lead the Scrum Masters of the GTS Functional Area, both as coach and as line manager
• Act as deputy during Scrum Masters' absences, and act as "initial Scrum Master" for new arising initiatives and Squads. If time allows, also assume the Scrum Master role in at least one Squad
• Ensure planning and value delivery cadence across all Product Areas and Squads of the GTS Functional Area
• Contribute your 'Catalyst Leader' capabilities - co-creating a shared vision; developing high participation; empowering people and teams; transformative change; growing business unit capability
• Apply Agile techniques to non-technology orientated business functions
• Demonstrate knowledge of data driven techniques & strategies to teach a team how to validate business assumptions using data to drive predictable value delivery
• Support the agile teams with the right knowledge, tools and training so that they’ll be able to use agile to its full potential.
• Identify process issues and improve them

GTS Employee Workplace provides cutting-edge products, services and support enabling Swiss Re's workforce to work from anywhere (remote and in every location), anytime in a stable and secured environment; giving them the time to focus and innovate.

• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive portfolio of standard end to end digital workplace products and services needed to support productivity, collaboration and communication (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10)
• Local office workplace hardware lifecycle management, support and provisioning
• Supporting local or regional office and individual business unit requirements in the area of footprint changes, legal and compliance requests, BCM and ITSCM events.
• Standardizing our portfolio catalogue of services and end user technology products, helping to provide greater transparency and efficiency, enabling every employee to be educated and supported equally regardless of their respective location.
· Leveraging our global, regional and local vendors, suppliers and service provider relationships to balance value for money and high-end technical solutions.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

We are happy to meet you if you possess:
• Passion for agile work culture, methods and leadership styles
• More than 10 years change leadership experience
• A true leader mentality and reputation
• Scrum Master certification and experience with Scaled Agile methods (e.g. Scrum@Scale, Nexus, LeSS)
• Expertise in Scrum and/or Kanban or equivalent knowledge
• Have extensive experience in forming teams and driving continuous improvement and self-management within a Product Area or Business Unit.
• Capabilities to act as a catalyst to motivate change in a Business Unit but also drive improvement and change to positively challenge the norm where the issues are outside of a business unit’s control.
• Abilities to support major process improvements within the GTS Employee Workplace area
• A solid experience of working with a multicultural team of service delivery specialists.
• Experience with line management duties for 5-8 Scrum Masters
• Full professional level in English
