About The Role
General Accountability:
The Corporate Solutions Carrier Analytics Branch Controlling Team is responsible for supporting the European & Asian branches of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd and Swiss Re International SE with accounting, controlling, financial analysis and reporting according to local statutory, Luxembourg and US GAAP accounting policies and local tax requirements. As member of the team you support legal entity and branch controlling and reporting activities. You seek possibilities to further develop, streamline and improve the team's delivery processes. Further, you ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements.

MAIN TASKS
1. Perform General Ledger closing activities on quarterly basis
2. Provide timely and accurate legal entity and branch reporting tasks according to local statutory, regulatory and management requirements for defined entities.
3. Prepare and present accurate financial information to the management for the assigned branches on regular basis to enable timely and current decisions to be made
4. Perform financial controlling (including reconciliations and reasonability checks) of selected entities on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
5. Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and the audit requirements
6. Provide financial reporting to external authorities and internal stakeholders
7. Provide requested support to external and internal audit
8. Identify and evaluate process improvement possibilities
9. Participate and support Finance related projects and perform ad hoc tasks as required
10. Perform other position related tasks as instructed by the Team leader

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
1. Five years of work experience in accounting/financial reporting, preferably in insurance or reinsurance business
2. Qualification in Accounting, Audit, Finance and/or university degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
3. CPA/ACCA certification desirable
4. Profound knowledge regarding statutory accounting policies and regulatory frameworks
5. Understanding of financial reporting processes, risk and controls
6. Experience in USGAAP/IFRS desirable
7. Experience in the use of standard bookkeeping software for financial accounting
8. Proven PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
9. Experience in the use of ERP system SAP is advantage
10. Structured and independent work approach and strong analytical skills
11. Engaged and motivated, adaptability and flexibility
12. Fluent English written and spoken
13. Additional languages (German/Spanish/French) an advantage
