About the Role
We are searching for hardworking candidate to take on exciting position in the Reinsurance Finance Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region includes tasks and responsibilities in many areas of Financial Controlling within an active business environment. We are covering Reinsurance business for the EMEA countries.

You will be part of Controlling and Reporting team, which is involved in the preparation, monitoring and commenting on financial results, helping the business steer its performance and execute strategic tasks, as well as supporting our internal partners.

Work within this team offers an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the financial steering and reporting of a Reinsurance industry leader. You will work in a small team of specialists in exciting and fast paced environment and collaborate closely with experienced colleagues that will support your professional and personnel development.

Key accountabilities
• Preparation of quarterly reporting packages under various accounting valuations with underlying trends / issues identified for presentation to senior management, including preparation of presentations
• Coordinate within team the annual planning process and take the lead for specific sub-processes including the performance of the defined controls.
• Prepare the quarterly variance analysis by populating the figures for all EMEA countries
• Extracting data from the financial systems, building standard reports using Microsoft software tools, preparing the figures to meet reporting requirements and reconciling them
• Develop data controls and reconciliations to ensure a high level of data quality. Identifying relationship between the business variables, developing quality indicators, determining pattern and trend analysis. Follow up the issues, collaborate with the FP&A team, Divisional Controlling team, the Actuarial team and the Accounting department to ensure accurate issues resolution
• Undertake specific financial projects and ad hoc activities as the need arises by the business
• Ensure accurate knowledge sharing with other team members including organizing of training process for new team members
• Establishes strong working relationship with our key business partners and become a strong team member and point of contact
• Act as a buddy and role model to Junior Colleagues with work ethics and positive/ can do attitude

About You

Key skills, knowledge, qualifications & experience
• We are looking for a candidate who is University graduate with a primary or higher degree (or equivalent), preferably in finance/accounting/economics and with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Successful candidate should have experience in financial reporting with focus on timely delivery and high quality of output.
• You enjoy translating complex and incomplete information into effective story and communicate it to the management.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
• You have strong analytical, report writing and time-management skills.
• You are willing to learn new concepts and grow own area of responsibility.
• Strong teammate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated individual used to work in a highly performance driven, professional and international environment.
• Self-motivated and able to perform tasks independently.
