Finance Corporate Solutions aspires to become a value-added partner to the Corporate Solutions and broader Swiss Re community. One step towards this is to enable our Finance teams with processes and technology that are fit-for-purpose and cost effective through the CorFiT program. This role will initially be performed in the Product and Operating model team (POM). As part of this team, you will drive the process and control documentation, process change management, and process improvement due to our multi-year CorFiT initiative which aims to substantially improve the way Finance CorSo works by replacing the existing Finance system landscape with a global solution and by implementing best practice processes globally. The focus is on providing strong support to Finance management team members, and other business users to ensure processes stay ahead of risks associated with growth in areas of process design, internal control effectiveness, IT system integration and other relevant areas.

Following the completion of the project, this role will become part of the CorSo team that will support the new productive landscape going forward.

The Opportunity
We are searching for a colleague who will drive the Process and control changes within the CorFiT Programme.
In this role, you will support business partners to analyze, redefine and document business processes and set up the future control landscape. This role requires heavy coordination across global virtual teams that include both business and IT resources. After the closure of the CorFiT programme, this position will transition to a BAU role where you will be responsible for keeping the process and control environment efficient and up to date by acting as advisor to the business.

About the Role
In this role you should expect to:
-Continuously monitor and analyse process and control environment, understand business user needs and partner to implement solutions.
-Support activities to streamline and unify process and control landscape globally, considering cooperation with other BU functions
-Identify and assess risks (with financial and operational impact) and gaps across end-to-end processes and propose improvements to the control environment
-Support optimization of the quarterly closing process, impacting finance timetables and responsibilities definition
-Document and manage documentation of CorSo Finance processes and controls, their linkage (Incl. management of Blueworks) and drive further development of detailed process description that supports process improvement, strategic initiatives, use case alignment and training needs
-Support new projects, changes and initiatives impacting the process and control environment
-Provide consultancy and training in relation to the process and control framework
-Work in a fast-paced project environment
-Some travel required (including overseas)

About the Team
The Product and Operating model team (POM) is a key chapter in the CorFIT organization. It shapes the CorFACTS operating model and IT platform to maximize its value contribution and ensures operational excellence in major business processes by driving process implementation. This includes the on-going development and documentation of the target operating model, process design and documentation, process change management, process training and controls alignment. Other key activities include ensuring the business readiness of the processes and controls for handover to the business in a BAU environment , process optimization activities and establishing processes for the coordination of on-going changes and improvements in the BAU environment.

Personality requirements and skills

About You
-Prior experience in working with processes and controls is essential, having active role in process and control optimization and standardization projects
-Higher education or University degree, focus on Finance or IT subject areas a plus
-Insurance experience an asset, especially global direct/primary insurance providers and the related data requirements
-Characterized as a logical thinker
-Experience in and acumen for Process and control management, with knowledge of Audit, Risk management and problem solving techniques
-Strong communication skills
-Able to liaise with all hierarchies across different functions and locations
-Strong team player and interpersonal skills
-Proactive and entrepreneurial thinker
-Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
-Ability to think globally and strategically and to develop and implement new concepts
-Experience using advanced Excel, or advanced Access a plus
-Fluent in English, additional languages such as German, Portuguese, Spanish or Chinese would be an asset
