bout the Role
Swiss Re helps people, businesses and cities to recover after major natural and man-made disaster. You can help us make the world more resilient.
In this role, you will support the Communications (Comms) in Slovakia by performing administrative duties to assure the smooth operation of the department.
Together with your team you will design and execute communication programs for external and internal audiences.
You will have regular contact with Group Communications in Zurich and various operating groups in the company.
The Communication Associate

Partnerships
Administrates external partnerships
Scouts events and 3rd party initiatives for possible cooperation
Events
Co-designs, administrates and organizes events for external communication, including content, logistics, participation and media coverage
External contractors and agencies
Manages cooperation with contractors and agencies. Oversees the production of all collaterals and communication outputs.
Administrates the acquisition of channels (media, external display networks, online, out-of-the-box solutions, etc)
Manages the acquisition and sourcing process, coordinates with legal and IP to ensure alignment with internal and external requirements
Provide support on sourcing and contract negotiations
Content Creation
Creates content for external communications both in writing and in video formats. The topics should include, but are not limited to: Swiss Re position on the local market, Swiss Re Slovakia involvement in group projects, Swiss Re achievements, press releases, Swiss Re employee stories, localization of the group content for local use (Swiss Re Institute outcomes, Swiss Re Foundation activities, press releases, etc.)
Reporting and Analytics
Co-designs and administrates the reporting framework
Manages the data analytics and the local brand performance metrics, provides reports
Manages standing feedback loop on Swiss Re Slovakia communication and offers advice based on available insights
Cross Functional Cooperation
Offers advice for Swiss Re divisions in Bratislava focused on their communication process and budget optimization
Facilitates cooperation with cross-functional teams, including the Comms Community in Bratislava
Other
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Head of Communication in Bratislava
Arrange travel itineraries and internal/external meetings
Manage administrative/operational processes for the team
Be a proficient resource on various IT platforms
Prepare presentation materials, minutes and other documents
Track and report on the Swiss Re Slovakia Comms Budget
Manage invoices, payments and expense reports
Support risk assurance and reporting activities
Support ad hoc business requests and other Communications events/projects when needed

About You

You have
Strong integrity and ethical standards
A minimum of a Bachelor diploma.
1-5 years' professional experience in an administrative/operations role (including professional experience throughout your studies, ideally from a marketing/communication agency)
Strong "peer to peer" and executive communications skills, i.e. you are able to communicate in an appealing way, clearly, to-the-point and without using empty words or phrases
Proven experience with creative writing and/or b/vloging and establishing followership (e.g. blogs, vlogs, social media followership etc.)
The ability to build and sustain strong interpersonal relationships
Strong planning and project management skills
A high level of attention to detail
High proficiency in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Able to learn and apply new IT systems quickly
An eagerness to help on various projects
