About the Role
We, in the Corporate Solutions Branch Controlling Team support legal entity and branch accounting, controlling and reporting activities. Further, we ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements.
Each team member has assigned 3-5 branches. We have complex financial overview about the assigned branches.
We are searching for new colleagues to become a part of our team.

Main tasks
• Ownership and active management of the branch from finance perspective. High degree of autonomy is expected for this position
• Exposure to senior leadership
• Preparation and presentation of quarterly results to senior management, including providing of comprehensive financial and variance analysis and business commentaries
• Preparation of qualitative reporting for internal clients as well as reporting to regulatory bodies on local accounting standards
• Closing activities on a quarterly basis for assigned branches including accounting tasks, controlling and reporting activities
• Contact person for internal and external auditors
• Contribute to improve processes and systems to ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements, and also to meet internal management expectations
• Establish a network and closely collaborate with the respective professionals across the organization


About the team
We in the Corporate Solutions Branch Controlling Team are responsible for supporting the corporate branches of Swiss Re with accounting, controlling, reporting activities and financial analysis. Each team member has a complex financial overview about assigned branches. We cooperate with Finance managers, Branch managers, Tax department and Auditors.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

About You
• Minimum four years of work experience in accounting/financial reporting
• University degree or qualification in Finance
• Understanding of financial reporting processes, risk and controls
• Proven PC skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI is an advantage
• Team player with good communication and presentation skills
• Fluent English written and spoken
