-You will be responsible for leading a team of 8 people handling European locations and ensuring timely and accurate handling of accounts payable and travel expense activities
-During first months you will gain an overview of the company culture and managerial tools and know-how from your manager and peers and overview of the process, systems and locations from your direct employees what will support your smooth onboarding
-Developing people, talents and do the succession planning within your team to ensure deputization and identification of key talents
-Close collaboration with other two Accounts Payable team leaders in process, people, system related topics
-You will certainly like liaising with local offices and suppliers to make sure all invoices are accurately accounted in line with all local requirements and paid on time
-Mentoring, assigning and monitoring of the work to team members
-Responsible for ensuring operational stability, keeping deadlines (reconciliation, closing, timeliness of payments) and participation in Global projects if needed
-Delivering on set targets and support team with queries and questions
-Keep a good relationship with other Swiss Re departments and represent team on various occasions (workshop, cross-functional and cross-location meetings)

The Accounts Payable and Travel Expenses section consists of 3 teams of size approx. 7 people. We are in charge of processing all invoices and travel expenses for Swiss Re locations worldwide. Teams cover European and Asian locations, South Africa and Australia.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

Let us describe yourself:
-University degree in the area of finance, banking, accounting or economics with relevant working experience minimum of 2 years on a managerial position (Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader)
-You have abilities to lead and develop team of 7-8 people and are strongly focused on performance and targets
-You are proficient in English. We consider it as advantage if you speak any other European language. You have strong communication and presentation skills
-You have advanced MS Office knowledge (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point) and are a logical thinker not afraid to challenge the status quo
