About the Team

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team coordinates planning, projections, performance management and cost controlling processes at iptiQ EMEA P&C to enable better business decision making.

About the Role

We are looking for a tech-savvy financial analyst to help shape our tools and enable better business decision making.
You will be responsible for end-to-end performance management and liquidity & capital reporting activities – from developing and optimizing financial models, coordinating the integration of underwriting data, and defining reporting processes, to presenting results to management.

Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Participate in distribution partner acquisition projects, translating commercial discussions into sound financial business cases
- Build economic valuation tools and quarterly reporting templates in collaboration with Swiss Re Group Finance
- Coordinate the liquidity & capital modelling process and further develop methods in line with the Solvency II framework
- Work closely with risk management to prepare cash flow and liquidity sensitivity analysis for capital planning and ORSA scenarios
- Collaborate with sales and underwriting teams to establish a data-driven, automated performance reporting framework with integrated costing data

In the long-run what we are expecting from you:
- Support the growth of digital capabilities by exploring and implementing new technologies to support our Finance ambitions
- Be the Finance ambassador for performance management and business steering

Personality requirements and skills

About You

- Minimum 3 years of professional experience; preferably in insurance finance or quantitative risk functions
- Bring one of the following:
-- Actuarial experience or the progression through actuarial exams
-- Previous exposure to Solvency II and economic valuation concepts
-- Programming capabilities and know-how in applying data analytics to financial modelling
- Strong analytical skills and technical savvy
- Self-starter who is able conceptualize and execute projects without much input
- Teammate who is creative, open-minded to challenge the status-quo and strives for constant improvements
- Degree in quantitative discipline; e.g. Actuarial Sciences, Econometrics or Insurance Mathematics
