iptiQ EMEA L&H Underwriting is growing and we have an opportunity for an experienced L&H Underwriter to expand their horizons and join us on our journey to insure more people every day. As a L&H Underwriter based at our Centre of Excellence in Bratislava you will use your knowledge to support the underwriting assessment of new business application across the EMEA region. You will make recommendations on individual risks and provide the technical support needed to help other team members to do the same. You will also routinely contribute to and sometimes take the lead on any other operational areas of the Underwriting department including project work, product development, training, reporting, etc., all with minimal supervision.

On a daily basis you will be responsible for managing the following:
- Underwriting assessment across multiple markets
- Underwriting and product development work including new business opportunities and
existing business reviews
- Participation as the Underwriting subject matter expert at iptiQ cross functional team meetings
- Conducting client facing activities such as trainings and audits

Pro-actively identifying and designing solutions to problems affecting the Underwriting departments ability to meet its objectives

About the Team

You will join a team of underwriters who are responsible for supporting several markets across the EMEA region, including cases assessment and various client needs. You will work closely with regional and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure we meet our daily customer service targets.

- A proven L&H Underwriter with at least initial underwriting authority and working towards full medical authority sign off
- A team player who shares knowledge and information with others
- Advanced working knowledge of the underwriting specificities of at least one EMEA market
- Proven track record in delivery results through analytical and critical thinking
- Consistently demonstrates curiosity, energy and interest in learning new skills.
- Flexible (able to juggle the diverse demands of multiple stakeholders)
- Excellent communication skills including advanced in English and at least one other European language
