About the role:
Economic Value Management (EVM) is Swiss Re Group's integrated economic valuation and accounting framework for planning, pricing, reserving, and steering our business. If you are familiar with valuations such as US GAAP or IFRS, you are just one step away from learning EVM and starting an exciting career at Swiss Re.

In your role you will be responsible for:
- The preparation of the Legal Entity EVM Reporting package, analyzing data, writing commentaries on movements and presenting it to CFO for approval
- Supporting the reconciliation process between Economic Valuations, Solvency II, GAAP reporting
- Preparing timely and accurate data for internal reporting including Management - - Committee, Board of Directors etc. and external reporting
- Quarterly review of Swiss Solvency Test (SST) reporting
- Cooperation with various functions within Swiss Re Group, FP&A, Actuaries, Tax etc., across various levels of management
- Ensuring compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements
- Setting up the Legal Entity Plan, calculation and booking of quarterly projections to the statutory accounts
- Identification and evaluation of operational improvements
- Deputize your colleague from EVM team
- Participation in finance transformation project

About the team:
We are a team of 9 people responsible for supporting the European carrier reporting teams with analysis, reports and accounting support according to Swiss and Luxembourg statutory accounting policies and economic valuation principles for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd and Swiss Re International SE. As a member of our team, you are performing the analysis of the EVM statements in accordance with Swiss Re Group guidelines. You will also support legal entity capital and liquidity steering. You provide comprehensive commentaries with respect to reporting, monitoring and reconciliation activities according to management requirements. You will have opportunity to improve the team's delivery processes and cooperation with our partners.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About You:
- You have three to five years of work experience in accounting/financial reporting
- You are qualified in Accounting, Audit, Finance and/or university degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
- You understand financial reporting processes, risk and controls
- Experience in USGAAP or IFRS is an advantage
- Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP such as SAP or Oracle is an advantage
- Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are welcomed
- Confident presentation skills as you will be presenting to senior management
- You like working in a team
- You are motivated to learn new things
